A gelato shop where your tub is waiting for you

Gelato Žnjan is the website and two apps of a gelato shop in Split: today's flavours in plain sight, a tub reserved for a set time and the owner marking what's sold out with one tap.

It's a demo with a made-up business: the names, photos and prices are placeholders.

Who it's for

  • Artisan gelato shops whose flavours change every day.
  • Patisseries, cafés and bakeries that want pick-up orders without answering the phone.
  • Promenade and beach spots with a queue all summer.
  • Owners who want to say «sold out» once and have everyone see it.

What's inside

  • A pistachio popsicle in 3D you spin with a finger, and repaint in any flavour you pick.
  • Today's display: every flavour with its photo, ingredients, allergens and whether there's any left.
  • A tub to collect: half a litre or a litre, up to three flavours, a time slot and a code to pick it up.
  • The owner's app: the day's reservations, flavours marked sold out with one tap, and the week in numbers.
  • Both apps playable with a guided tour and a time machine from opening to closing.
  • In Spanish, English and Croatian, over the Žnjan promenade at night, at sunset and in the morning.

At a seaside gelato shop, the question all summer long is the same: «is there any pistachio?». Gelato Žnjan is our sample gelato shop on the Žnjan promenade in Split, and the answer is on your phone before you leave the house.

What you see first

A pistachio popsicle in 3D, bite and drips included, that you spin with a finger and repaint in whichever flavour you tap. Behind it, the promenade at night, with Brač on the horizon and the street lamps reflected in the sea. Below, today's display: every flavour with its photo, ingredients and allergens, and the ones that ran out, greyed out.

A tub to collect

Customers pick a size, up to three flavours and a time slot. They get a code, and at six they collect the tub without queuing. If plans change, they cancel from the same app and the owner knows straight away.

The owner's app

Luka, the demo's owner, starts the day looking at his reservations and what they add up to. When a flavour runs out he marks it with one tap, and it goes grey on every customer's phone. At closing, the week in numbers: what sold, at what time, and what's worth making tomorrow.

For your gelato shop, patisserie or café

The flavours, sizes, prices, opening hours and branding are all yours. The same works for cakes to order, bread to collect or coffee to go. Both apps can be played end to end, with a guided tour and a time machine that runs from opening to closing.

Try the gelato shop

Head to Gelato Žnjan, spin the popsicle and build your tub. If you can picture your customers doing that, get in touch.
